What an Amazing Year

Seventh grade has given me many fun memories, but here are three. My first favorite memory this year was last month on global day at play. This was one of my favorite memories because i got to play volleyball outside with my friends for almost 30 minutes. Next my second favorite memory is when it snowed at school and we got to stand outside. I thought that this was really fun because California never has snow and it was very exciting to experience it. My third and final favorite memory is when we had our nights on broadway performance for choir. It was a very fun performance to watch and experience. They have a lot of fun performances to watch and some are very peaceful and some are very funny, which is what I like about it. There is also a lot of great singers and great performers. This year in seventh grade was definitely exciting and won’t be forgotten.

Making Tons of Progress- week 5

This week I focused more on signing peoples names and making sure I got them down. I basically just went through are class and started signing peoples names so I could could get better. My accomplishments this week was definitely learning how to sign peoples names quickly, because when Im up presenting I can’t be like a sloth. Another accomplishment was figuring out what to put on my board and I sort of planned it out. Since nothing went wrong I have no adjustments to make I like sitting outside it’s peaceful. My struggles this week for sure had to be forgetting some of the letters on accident but when I looked at my I pad to check. I was like are you kidding me I knew that. Next week I’m going to leave off by starting on planning out my presentation and focusing more on my sign language too. I also hope to get my trifold soon so I can get working on my planning and creating.

Rad Reading- April

This month I read Absolutely Nat by Maria Scrivan. This book was about a girl named Natalie who is packing for summer camp called camp mosquito and can’t wait to go with her best friends Zo and Flo. At their summer camp they have fun challenges to face and teams that you get to choose. But you don’t get to pick who’s in your cabin which went very wrong in many ways. I personally loved this book because I think it showed how to really treat someone with respect and kindness. I always go by treat others how you would want to be treated and I thought this book really represented that. My favorite character would had to have been Natalie because she was brave enough to swim in the lake even when she thought there was a lake monster and really showed how brave she was, and I really liked that. Natalie’s character trait would for sure be brave because she said “I’m not afraid of any old lake” and jumped right into the water. I thought that was really brave and tuff of her because not everyone can overcome their fears like that. My favorite line quote definitely has to have been “don’t go, don’t go, don’t go” because her dog said that and I thought it was funny because dogs can’t actually talk and she can’t hear him. But he clearly really wanted her to stay and cuddle with her on the couch which I thought was really cute.

Got it All Down- week 4

This week during 20% time I finally thought of what I’m going to do for my presentation. Basically I’m going to go over what I’ve learned over this whole process then I’m going to sign someone’s name. I thought that this was a good idea because who wouldn’t want to know their name in ASL. My accomplishments this week was figuring out what I was going to do for my presentation and I finally can tell the difference between N,T,M and S which I’m very happy about. My struggles this week was trying to make sure I spelt Regina’s name fast enough, so I wasn’t slow when I went to spell someone’s else’s name. But I’m going to work more on it next week and hopefully accomplish that and move on to my script for my presentation. Next week I will pick up by spelling peoples names in our class and trying to sign them as fast as I can. I hopefully will figure it out and get that passed me so I can work on the next step.

It’s just Wonderful

My favorite room at my moms house is my bedroom. My bedroom is my favorite room because I have all of my stuff in there and can do whatever I feel like. I also like my room because it’s cozy. I have a bunch of pillows, stuffed animals and blankets on my bed that makes it ten times better. When I get home from school I can just flop on my bed and relax, while watching my show. Another reason why I like my room is because I get privacy and can call my friends whenever and talk as loud as I want. But I also don’t like it at the same time because I share a room with my brother. He makes the room smell and has his weird posters of cars or Fortnite on the wall, or his toys all over the floor. The worst part is that I have to clean it up. He never does anything and it’s so annoying. But my side of the room has my dresser with my marker holder and my notebooks. If you turn around you will see my bed. Filled with stuffed animals and pillows. Above that I have shelf’s with my candles, picture frames, plants and other things. Next to my bed is my night stand which has water bottles and more picture frames. But I also have a globe that my grandma gave me for my birthday, and that’s basically what my room looks like now for my dads house. at my dads house my favorite room is the living room because that’s where we have our family movie nights and where I play games on my phone. But also just all the memories of being on that couch. I also love cuddling my dog on the couch. She warm and makes me happy. There’s a giant tv on the wall that we watch tv on and if you look underneath the tv there a table. It has candles, records and a record player. If you turn around you will be looking at the couch. It a long brown couch with two recliners at the ends, and next to both recliners there’s two tables with coasters and usually a drink or two there. There’s also a fan and a exercise bike right next to the tables. I love both of my houses so much and can’t wait for more memories.

Everything Counts

This image has a strong message to me it shows that the kid on the left is greedy and wants more toys and his mom said no so he’s crying and overreacting. The kid on the right is happy with what he has and doesn’t care that he only has one toy, and appreciates what he has. I think that this is a very important image because it shows that kids need to be more grateful for what they have and not what they want, and be more like the kid on the right because he doesn’t care what he has and is grateful for what he is given. Sometime I feel like I can relate to this most of the time I’m happy with what I have, and some other times I really want something but my mom says no so I get a little upset. But afterwards I realize that it doesn’t matter and I Can wait till my birthday or Christmas. Some people need to think about what other people don’t have and be grateful for what they do have.

Gaining progress – week 3

Some success that I had this week was learning more signs like grandma, grandpa, food, and weather and a couple others. Also I’m still trying to figure out the difference between N,M,S and T. But I’m going to work on that more next week. I know that N is two fingers over your thumb but I don’t know the others yet. My accomplishments this week were pretty simple, It was only learning about ten more new signs and figuring out N,M,S and T. My struggles this week were usually the same thing that always happens. I get distracted to easily and get off task so I’m going to try harder next time. My adjustments next week is going to be listening to music and turning it up and focusing on my work and only my work. This week I left off by learning where my fingers go for N,M,S and T. I will also start thinking about what I’m going to do for my presentation for people. I have a couple ideas but I’m not quite sure yet.

Starting to learn – week #2

This week was amazing and I was able to accomplish a lot of important signs. The things that I accomplished this week were learning mom, dad, can, yes, no, want and much more. My struggles this week was remembering the different sings when Regina was quizzing me on the stuff I learned today. I would get bit stumped at times but I passed through it. This week I really have no adjustments this week went really well. Besides maybe not listening to music I think that I work better without music playing in my ear. But besides that I got what I need to get done and everything went smooth. Next time I’ll pick up by trying all of the stuff I’ve learned so far, then I would start learning how to start saying sentences. Because i have gotten the basics down of sign language and starting to get it.

Rad Reading- March

This month for my Rad Reading i read Karen’s roller skates by Ann M. Martin. This story is about a girl named Karen who loves to roller skate. But when she tries to do a trick a horrible accident happens that Karen really didn’t like. I thought that this book was amazing, it told you that you should never try and do something that’s above your standards. My favorite character was Karen. I liked her because she was always being nice and treating people with respect. Karen is outgoing because she said “I’m coming through” I thought this was a good quote because she was going really fast on her roller skates . My favorite line quote is when Karen said “I’m so glad it’s Saturday” because I could always relate to this. I love when it’s Saturday and I can just sleep in and relax.

Dream Job

Interior designer is a perfect job for me. Because I love to organize and decorate everything. Something about it makes me happy like it’s like opening gifts on your birthday. The one thing I love to do is decorate a living room or a bedroom. When my grandma was getting new furniture I helped her pick out her couch, chairs, cabinets, pillows and blankets. I also love to shop and think about what my room would look like if I did all of this stuff. Really soon I hope to reorganize and re-decorate my room. My favorite theme to go with for any house is white. White anything is just so amazing and it looks so good! Interior design is also a good idea because you get to do what you love and you get to meet new people along the way. Some will be good and some will be bad but you have to deal with it. One of the pros of interior design is being your own boss. Nobody to train or teach just you and what you think would look good. You can also express your creativity. Because you choose what’s best for the house and it basically just lets everything out of your head. You start thinking of ideas left and right and it’s like you have so many you don’t even know which one to choose. I personally think that interior design is one of the best jobs out there because it helps you relax and be calm.
